MFL: Big Duo vs Big Zenigata

The fog swirls around outside the domes as the sun comes up...the Military Police wait at the fencing looking out across JFK Mark. Two shapes can be made out through the mist and fog both of them are huge however one is large than the other.

Dastun: *to a private* Have they moved yet?

Private: No sir...


Out in the middle of JFK Mark the fog and mist slowly become lighter...suddenly a maniacal laugh is heard, and then the sunlight beems through the fog blinding the poor Military Police.

Schwarzwald: I'm glad you could make it....PARADIGM DOG!!

Zenigata: That's INTERPOL to you, bub. Now then what is it that you want here.

Schwarzwald: My mission is to find the truth of this accursed world, and to let everyone know what really happened Forty Years ago!!

Zenigata: OH YAH? Well according to your records you have done much more than that. YOU'RE GOING DOWN!


[INSERT STONING]


The taller Big, Big Zenigata, charges at Big Duo closing the gap quickly. The arm piston blasts back as the arm is pulled back and then Big Zenigata throws its arm forward with the piston slamming down, aimed right at Big Duo's chest.

Big Duo calmly sidesteps and catches Zenigata's arm with his right hand, the piston blast carving a massive trench in the ruined airfield.

"Fool...you cannot blind people with your lies, LEAST OF ALL ME!"

The left arm swings up, fist headed straight for Zenigata's face. The left arm jets rev up and hurl it forward with incredible speed.

Zenigata: meh! CRAP! o_O;;;

Big Zenigata twists a bit and is able to miss much of the punch however the arm knocks against the head causing some damage to the neck and face plate.

Zenigata: So you think you can get rid of me that easily huh?! WELL THINK AGAIN!!

*Big Zenigata blasts into the air pulling Big Duo along for the ride*

Zenigata: Take this, Schwarzwald!

*Big Zenigata flings Big Duo up into the air*

[Stoning continues to play]

Big Zenigata stops and hovers in the air, then in a split second it flings its cuffs at Big Duo's legs...Big Zenigata then pulls out its pistol and shoot at Big Duo's head.

"Eh heh heh hah HAH! Thank you for the lift, Inspector!" Big Duo's own jets ignite and he hurtles away, wings spreading as he goes. The cuffs clamp his legs together, but Schwarzwald just laughs again. "As if I planned to run about on the ground!"

The Red Megadeus rolled aside, dodging the pistol's particle blasts, then pulled up to open fire with his rotary missile launchers.

[Stoning ends]

Zenigata: What? Regular missiles huh? Oh this is too good to be true! HAHAHAA!!!

Big Zenigata shoots most of the missiles with it's pistol and then dodges the rest. It then speeds up and flies headlong at Big Duo. It extends up an arm as they fly over the lines of military police. They fire up into the sky sending flak everywhere.

*on the radio* WHAT THE HELL! HOLD YOUR FIRE!!! This is Inspector Zenigata!!

Dastun: Oh great...it's HIM again...HOLD YOUR FIRE MEN!

Big Zenigata then flies above Big Duo and then fires its Circle of Death down ontop of Big Duo.

Big Duo's jets flare again, sending him backwards behind Zenigata and out of the Circle of Death's line of fire.

"You'll have to be faster than that if you wish to learn the truth, Inspector!!"

Big Duo rolls onto his back, lowers his right arm, and fires the Omicron Beam at Big Zenigata's lower back.

Zenigata: OH LIKE YOU CAN ESCAPE SO EASILY!! HA!
*he moves the joystick back slightly*

The arm arcs as Big Zenigata rolls over and then the attack is once again aimed at Big Duo. Much of the second half of the barrage appears to have hit and the halo then encompasses Big Duo's body. The Omicron Beam passes right by Big Zenigata's 'skirt' and is wears away the tips of the ribs and anchors. Moderate damage is done to the abdomen area but isn't as severe as it would have been if the beam had hit directly.

Big Zenigata then closes up the arm and pulls down and ends up nearly face to face with Big Duo. It takes out its pistol and shoots at Big Duo's hands.

Schwarzwald: Think you can take out my arm huh you lapdog!

Zenigata: HA! I wasn't aiming there!

Schwarzwald: *gasp* NO!

*The beam shoots out at the fingers on Big Duo's left hand*

The particle blast strikes the left hand...but does no damage.

Then Zenigata notices the shimmering blue-white energy rippling over the surface of the other Megadeus.

Schwarzwald simply grins crazily as he fires the Shockwave Cannon, enhanced by the Energy Grid, at point-blank range.

Zenigata: MEH, CRAP! DAMN IT ALL!

Big Zenigata is hit by the tiny projectiles...then it decreases it's altitude to about 200 feet and then hits into the ground like a rock....however it coincidentally plows right into a bunker that houses most of the military police's equipment and thus is surround by a hell of a lot of re-enforced concrete and steel.

Zenigata: Uhh..didn't see that one coming.

Zenigata, now hidden from Big Duo's view, frantically begins punching in codes and commands.

Zenigata: Just you wait...when/if you find me I'll a little surprise for you...heheheheee...

Big Duo circles in the sky above the ruins of the bunker.

Schwarzwald chuckles when Big Zenigata does not rise from the rubble of the bunker. "Trying to hide, Paradigm dog? Let's see if we can flush him out, Big Duo!"

The Red Megadeus turns, dives, arms his Megaton Missiles, and fires them directly at the hole his enemy vanished down, banking away to stay out of the blast radius.

*3....2.....1.......*
Zenigata: AH HA!

Big Zenigata's jets blast into action forcing the megadeus right out of the bunker. It then tries to fly away only to be caught in the massive explosion that follows.





The smoke dissipates slowly...something shiny flashes through the air and grabs a hold of Big Duo's (left) upper arm.

[Insert Stand A Chance]

Schwarzwald: WHAT?! THERE'S JUST NO WAY!!!

Big Zenigata emerges from the smoke, badly damaged and burnt from head to ...feet...Big Duo tries to fly away but finds itself anchored to the ground by the chain. Big Zenigata then fires all 20 missiles and also fires its two chest mounted energy beam cannons (after the missiles reach Big Duo).

Schwarzwald begins cursing in German. As the missiles close, Big Duo reaches his right arm over and severs the chain with the hand-saw. Some of the missiles strike his legs, dealing moderate damage (thank goodness the Megaton Missiles have already been fired). One of the two energy beam cannons strikes his left leg, further crippling it, while the other misses completely.

"You'll pay for that, Inspector!"

Zenigata: OH NO YOU DON'T!!!

*Big Zenigata throws a distance finger cuff up Big Duo*

The chain extends far up, the cuff misses the fingers on the right arm...it goes slightly above the hand.

Zenigata: wait for it....

Schwarzwald looks over and gasps and the chain falls down and gets quickly entangled in the rotating hand. As the chain gets tangled the cuff latches onto a finger. Big Zenigata yanks the chain back as hard and as fast as possible in the attempt to pull off Big Duo's trapped hand.

The spinning hand saw/propeller cuts through the cuffs' chain and they fall harmlessly aside.

"You and your petty toys...I'll show you what REAL power is!"

Big Duo banks around, heading straight at Zenigata. Six panels open on his arms, and his Firestorm/Spike missile launchers let fly.

Big Zenigata stands up and then raises its hands up and smashes its fists together. The Chromebuster blasts into the sky following Big Duo around and is gaining.

Zenigata: God I hope this ends so I can go back to being a real cop.

The beam detonates the missiles as it crosses over them creating a massive fireball half way between the Red Big and the Brown Big. In a few seconds is reaches Big Duo's arms and stays locked on them.

Schwarzald simply smirks when he sees the enemy take up a Chromebuster firing stance.

"No."

Big Duo's helmet crest shimmers with energy, and the Chromebreaker fires, meeting the Chromebuster beam in mid-air between the two Megadei. The beams cancel out similar to eye beams, but being vastly more powerful...

A blast of energy originates where the two weapons met, knocking Zenigata off his feet and sending Duo spiraling out of control. Both Chromebuster and Chromebreaker are damaged by the blast (+2 turn to cooldown for the rest of the battle).

Big Zenigata stumbles back but then looks up seeing Big Duo spiral downwards.

Zenigata: NOW'S MY CHANCE!!!

Big Zenigata fires its pistol at Big Duo's head 6 times before stopping and firing at it with machine gun fire.

Cursing in german again, Schwarzwald fights the controls to pull up. The Red Megadeus weaves eratically across the sky, and all but two of the particle blasts miss. One hits his lower back, dealing moderate damage, and the other smashes into his right arm, destroying two of his four Ion Blasters and damaging the Omicron Beam (-1 to damage, +1 to cooldown for rest of battle). Most of the machine gun fire also misses, but some hits his lower left arm, damaging the Firestorm Missile launchers there (+2 turns to cooldown).

Big Duo finally pulls up and hovers just above the ground. Schwarzwald raises the left arm and fires the Shockwave Cannon at Zenigata's feet.

"DANCE, HEH HAH HAH!!"

Zenigata: CRAP CRAP CRAP!!

Big Zenigata jumps into the air. The tiny missiles hit the dirt and cause the ground to cave into the subway below...

Zenigata: hmm? That's it.

Big Zenigata flies up trying to advoid the shockwave, however it gets hit and nearly loses control. The legs get damaged even more and the waist's skirt gets cracks in it. Big Zenigata then divebombs Big Duo ready to pull up if Big Duo moves. It's arm pistons blast out...the fists as well as Big Zenigata are traveling at a conveniently clocked 200MPH headed straight for Big Duo.

Zenigata: I HAVE YOU NOW!!!

Big Duo stands (well, hovers) his ground, raising his right arm as Big Zenigata comes hurtling down.

"TO THE DEATH!!" Schwarzwald punches the button that fires the Omicron Beam, aimed straight at Big Zenigata's head.

The Omicrom cannon pops out of the arm and aims at the head...however before it can fire Big Zenigata slams into Big Duo at 200MPH. Big Zenigata could never have "braked" so it kept flying and crashed into Big Duo slamming the red Big into the ground. The two slide across roads and end up in the field known as JKF Mark. Big Zenigata lands on top of Big Duo it slams down the pistons almost immediately into Big Duo chest and head attempting to chop the megadeus in half and break it's head into pieces. The Omnicrom beam fires right past Big Zenigata's head as it happens melting the face mask on one side and damaging the chromebuster helmet section on the same side. (Chromebuster now at 3/4 to 2/3 power)

Bought just enough time...

The Energy Grid flares up again as the two Megadei crash to the ground. It infuses the Hand Saws with its power, letting them slice through Megadeus armor with ease...which they promptly do, one each cutting into Zenigata's wrists in the half-second before the pistons drop. They don't slice all the way through before the blow comes, and the resulting blast destroys both Megadei's hands, as well as damaging Big Duo's head and chest heavily (Hand Saws, Wrist Guns, Rotary Missiles and Chromebreaker all destroyed, Eye Beams +1 to cooldown for rest of battle).

"YOUR TIME IS UP, INSPECTOR!!"

Big Duo's shoulders erupt in energy, twin Power Strikes blasting straight at Zenigata's chest.

Big Zenigata's hands have been totalled. Big Duo's are, as well, no more. Big Zenigata immediately puts its arms on top of big duo's arms pinning them down under the immense weight of the pistons and armor. Big Zenigata sprays Big Duo with the hot acid as soon as it is pinned. Big Zenigata quickly shifts it feet onto the lower section of the arms as it's arms are already covering the uppersections (which include covering the Omnicron cannon and the Shockwave cannon.)

Zenigata: This is gonna hurt me more than it'll you!!! HA!

Big Zenigata appear to almost headbutt Big Duo, BUT(!!!!) because its hat never stopped turning from when it divebombed the red Big, the hat acts as a saw and cuts through Big Duos neck going nearly all the way through only 1 more second before the head is cut clean off.

Big Duo's head is severed in a shower of sparks. A few tense moments pass, but then the Red Megadeus shoves Big Zenigata off and takes a few halting steps toward the Central Dome, reaching one shattered hand towards the Paradigm Building.

Schwarzwald sighed in the cockpit, head leaning on one arm. "Does he have to do this EVERY time?..."
